70's Bay Area born and raised.

Calibird was *reborn* in 2003 in Oakland, CA. with the creation of artwork reflecting social change and love of her dance and art community of which she has been apart of since the 90s. Though she has been a lifelong artist, it was here and then that her artwork called her back from living a life on other people's terms and expectations. 

In 2010, Calibird moved to Brooklyn to attend Parsons School of Fashion, and collaborated with several local artists, poets and visionaries to produce a coloring book and a children's book. In 2018, she moved back to the Bay Area, and co-created the non-profit DRAGONSPUNK, which is focused on habitat restoration, youth empowerment, food justice, zero waste gardening, soil remediation, and farmers markets in her neighborhood of Bayview SF.

She and her husband steward a large garden space called 

CALIBIRD POLLINATOR SANCTUARY AND FOOD FOREST. 

In 2023, she embarked on creating a jewelry line which celebrates native plants, wildlife and insects.
